Client feedback
"The experience of working with Karen transcended my understanding of what therapy could be.
For years I’ve been content with the ‘sounding board’ approach, treating the couch as a place to unpack my OCD riddled problems and concerns, never fully getting practical solutions to what I believed to be unsolveable, intangible issues".

"Karen’s approach - her considered use of practical techniques, her investment in the work, her humanity - has truly changed my life".

"As a writer, I came to her asking for help getting rid of creative blocks I had been experiencing for most of my adult life. I left the process having not just achieved that, but also having gained a real understanding of what it is in me that perpetuates those blockages. I can’t count the number of surrounding issues I have put to bed through our work. Familial trauma, relationship fears, my view of myself - all feel so much lighter.
I now feel a genuine acceptance of all those difficult things that have consumed my thinking for so long. It’s brought me an enormous amount of peace".

"When I started seeing Karen I was diagnosed with moderate depression. Struggling with setting boundaries due to overthinking, anxiety, high levels of stress, comparing my self to others, worried about how others perceive me and other dark thoughts. Being a first time mum whilst maintaining a demanding career was overwhelming. Karen helped me identify my beliefs that were ingrained from a young age, then worked with me to alter so it works for me, setting goals and slowly making small shifts from the norm. It was hard work but Karen was always empathetic, supportive, normalising deep rooted traumas, making sure I didn’t feel shame and creating a safe space to ease me through it. Ending the treatment I’ve become the person I never thought I was able to be. Having the confidence to put myself in situations I would’ve feared. Trying new things like going to the gym. Utilising the tools Karen has helped me build so I’m capable of managing my own regressions. I would highly recommend Karen and truly grateful for her support during a challenging time".

"Karen and I worked together over a 6 month period, initially to tackle issues I was having around anxiety brought about by feelings of loneliness. I found our weekly sessions really helpful for breaking down the underlying thoughts, the compounding behaviours and patterns. Throughout the course of the work, the focus evolved into developing my personal mission statement, something I had been wanting to do for years but hadn't made space for it. Karen created the space I needed to explore my values and principles.
Throughout our work together I really appreciated the way that Karen helped to structure the sessions, setting objectives at the beginning, and tracking them throughout the course so that I could feel the progress and a sense of closure at the conclusion of the sessions".

"I really valued the way that Karen could draw on threads that came up throughout the sessions to help identify thought patterns. Her reflections and guidance were always really insightful, and encouraged me to reflect more deeply, or revisit a thought, or provide tools and materials that I could refer to in my own time. I felt heard, known and guided throughout our sessions. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Karen again when I'm next in need of guidance".
